Description
The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) intends to negotiate a one-time, sole source, fixed price contract with Harris RF Communications, 1680 University Avenue, Rochester, NY 14610, for the purchase of the following equipment, in quantities of 3 each: AN/PRC-152 Radio Assembly, (GPS) HB APC SW Option, HPQ & P25 WAV EFORMS High CAP Lithium Ion Battery Pack, rechargeable Charger, Single Bay System EM, AC. North America RF-5051 Power Supply, Green Antenna, 30-870 Blade, handheld GPS Antenna Kit Antenna, VEH, Green, BNC, 30-512 Mhz, GPS Fill Kit Mission Cable Assembly, MBHH Field Programming Speaker-Tactical Cable Assembly, Speaker PWB Microphone, label speaker KDU Kit, Dual VAA remote Cable Assembly, MBHH PPP Adapter Assembly, KVL3000 Adapter HH Cable Assembly, MBHH Term PR GMG Sierra II Based on market research utilizing information obtained from industry sources and counterparts at other federal agencies, it has been determined that the FBI's requirement for portable, secure communications can only be provided by Harris RF Communications. The FBI requires radio's compatible with an existing multi-agency infrastructure, utilizing satellite and line-of-site communications, and capable of sharing data and attachments over a secure network, in support of secure communications between agencies during national emergencies and overseas operations. The Government intends to negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Interested parties may identify their interests and capability to respond to this requirement or submit proposals to this office by 10:00 am, EST, by Friday, April 23, 2010, by email, to the attention of Margaret D. Einspahr, Contracting Officer, at meinspahr@fbiacademy.edu. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. Telephone requests will not be considered. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
