Description
The Range Marks pairs to be worked on are as follows: Canadian side: 1-2, 3-4, 11-12 (to include Old Range Mark 11), 15-16, 17-18, 25-26, 33-34 (to include Old Range Mark 34), 35-36, 37-38, 39-40, 45-46, 47-48 for a total of 26 Range Marks. United States side: 5-6, 7-8, 9-10, 13-14, 19-20, 21-22, 23-24, 27-28, 29-30, 31-32, 41-42, 43-44 for a total of 24 Range Marks. Repairs to be done on each Range Mark will be patching minor cracks and indentations in the concrete. Once the repairs are made the concrete Range Marks will be cleaned and wire brushed to remove any chipped paint or debris. The concrete marks will be painted with quality exterior white latex house paint. The majority of these Range Marks have a triangle shaped metal panel bolted to the face of the Range Mark. Any peeling paint or rust spots will be ground with a grinder or sanded with sandpaper then thoroughly wiped down to insure the new paint will bond to the surface cleaned and repaired surface. The range course between the following pairs of range marks shall be cleared of brush and trees: 1-2, 3-4, 5-6, 9-10, 15-16, 17-18, 21-22, 23-24, 25-26, 35-36, 37-38, 39-40, 41-42, 45-46, 47-48 All brush and trees within a 10 foot radius of each range mark will be cut. All trees and brush will be cut a maximum of 6 inches from the ground. Any trees or brush of significant size will be placed on the sides of the cleared areas. Only chainsaws, brush cutters and hand tools will be used to re-clear the range courses. A before and after photograph will be taken of each range mark and submitted with your final invoice. Eastport Maine is the Approximate middle of the project. A complete bid package can be obtained from the IBC by phone or email.
