- Contract: R10PC20102Solicitation: R10PS20102 The Bureau of Reclamation intends to issue a Request for Proposal for a firm fixed price construction contract for Spring Creek Powerplant Generators G1 and G2 Rewinds located. The project site is located at Spring Creek Powerplant approximately 5 miles northwest of Redding, California, in Shasta County. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 811310 and the related small business size standard is $7M. The solicitation will include HUBZone Price Evaluation Preference procedures as described in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 19.1307. The principal components of work are as follows: 1. Remove and dispose of existing stator core and armature winding for Generatorsincluding asbestos abatement.2. Furnish and factory test new stator core for Generators.3. Install and field test new stator core for Generators.4. Furnish and factory test new armature windings for Generators.5. Install and field test new armature windings for Generators.6. Furnish spare parts for generator armature windings.7. Remove and refurbish, including asbestos abatement, and reinstall and field testfield poles for Generators. The estimated cost of this project is between $10,000,000 and $25,000,000. This procurement will require 100% performance and payment bonds. The contract performance period is 285 calendar days from the date of the Notice to Proceed. Solicitation R10PS20102 will be posted at http://ideasec.nbc.gov on or around May 7, 2010. The estimated date for receipt of proposals is June 7, 2010. The solicitation and specifications must be downloaded at the above site, with the drawings being mailed to you by hardcopy. No paper copy of this solicitation will be distributed with the exception of the drawings. In order to register on the Bidder's Mailing List to receive the drawings, you must register by clicking on the solicitation number and then select the "Vendor Interest" tab taking the following steps: 1) click on the Vendor Interest Tab; 2) enter DUNS number; 3) enter Password or Tax ID Number. Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and Annual Representations and Certifications, as required by FAR 4.1102 and FAR 4.1201apply to this procurement. Prospective contractors must be registered prior to award. Lack of registration in the CCR database will make an offeror ineligible for award. Information on CCR registration can be obtained via the Internet at http://www.ccr.gov.
