Description
The Mid-Pacific Region of the Bureau of Reclamation intends to issue a Request for Proposals for a firm fixed-price construction contract for Coleman Intakes - Leaky Concrete Pipe Joint Repair. This procurement is set-aside for Total Small Business concerns only. The work to be performed is described below. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 237990 and the related small business size standard is $33.5M. This notice is not a request for proposal and the information presented in this announcement will not obligate the Bureau of Reclamation in any manner. Solicitation R10PS20153 will be posted to http://ideasec.nbc.gov on or about April 15, 2010. The date for receipt of proposals will be approximately April 29, 2010. The solicitation must be downloaded at the above website; no paper copy of this solicitation will be distributed. Prospective contractors MUST be actively registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database at http://www.ccr.gov to be eligible for award. Questions concerning this solicitation should be directed to Rosana Yousef Goarji by email at ryousefgoarji@usbr.gov. The principal components of the work to be performed include: A.Removing all vegetation, trees, root balls, backfill to existing grade, seed, and mulch a 35 foot by 20 foot area on a slope to be marked by the Government.B.Install temporary weir or coffer dam near pipeline outlet. Dewater pipeline as required to install the interior patch in accordance with manufacturer's instructions and guidelines.C.Repair the joint of the 46 inch diameter cast in place RCP pipeline from the inside. Provide all required equipment, materials, and services to remove vegetation, backfill to existing grade, dewater pipeline, and accommodate confined space entry and pipeline repairs.D.Accomplish the work within the pipeline's designated period of availability, which will occur between May 17 and May 31, 2010. Will have 5 calendar days to build coffer dam, dewater pipeline, install confined space mitigation systems, repair leaking joint, remove confined space mitigation systems, and coffer dams.
