RECOVERY - PER FAR 5.7 THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY; THEREFORE FAR 5.203 DOES NOT APPLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO CONTRACTOR(S) UNDER THE CURRENT CONTRACT NUMBER(S): N/A RECOVERY Demolition / Disposal of groundwater treatment plant and various debris, Wyckoff/Eagle Harbor Superfund Site, Bainbridge Island, WA. THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS TO CONDUCT MARKET RESEARCH FOR DEVELOPING A PROCUREMENT STRATEGY FOR AN UPCOMING CONTRACT FOR THE ABOVE REFERENCED PROJECT. The purpose of this notice is to gain knowledge of potentially qualified small business, women-owned small business, 8(a), Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), or HUB Zone prime contractor business sources to complete the effort. This is not a request for proposal and in no way obligates the Government to award any contract. Responses to the Sources Sought Synopsis should be received as soon as possible but no later than 2:00 pm (Pacific Time) on 20 April 2010. The responses should be forwarded to the attention of Andrew Nelson, Contract Specialist to Seattle District Corps of Engineers, Attn: CECT-NWS-C Attn: Andrew Nelson, 4735 East Marginal Way South, Seattle, WA 98134-2388. Only HARD COPIES accepted. A solicitation is currently not available. The groundwater treatment plant (GWTP) and corresponding debris piles at the Wyckoff Superfund Site are required to be demolished and disposed of. The GWTP demolition includes, but is not limited to: securing the site and building, hazardous material survey and hazardous material abatement including but not limited to, above-ground storage tank sediment removal, recycle of building materials, demolition of building material, disposal of resulting rubbish and debris. The debris pile demolition includes, but is not limited to: hazardous material survey and hazardous material abatement including concrete, wood, plastic, metal conduit, concrete, building material. Additional work may include transformer decommissioning with demolition, capping utilities, and hazardous material survey and abatement. All work will be conducted pursuant to Federal, State, County, and local laws and regulations (OSHC, EPA, Washington State Department of Ecology). The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 562910, Remediation Services. For the purposes of this procurement, a concern is considered a small business if it employs no more than 500 people. SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS: The responses shall be no more than 6 pages and only hard copies will be accepted. Response to this sources sought shall include company name, address, DUNS number, CAGE number, and point of contact. The response shall also identify if the company is a small business, women-owned small business, 8(a), Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), or HUB Zone. The responses shall address the following questions/points in the order listed below. 1)The contractor shall provide a narrative depicting past experience performing similar work. The contractor shall have demonstrated history, specifically, with working on contaminated sites with hazardous material requiring demolition and removal as described in the above paragraphs. Describe up to two project examples. 2)The contractor shall demonstrate the ability to work while performing multiple pieces of work, described in the above paragraphs, simultaneously. Describe up to two project examples. 3)Contractor shall have a demonstrated history of working with public scrutiny this type of hazardous disposal within the guidelines of Federal, State, and local laws and regulations. Briefly describe up to two examples. 4)Contractor shall have demonstrated the ability to document remediation before, during, and after remediation. Briefly describe up to two project examples.
