- Brand name Justification Specifications for the nurse call upgrade To procure a nurse call intercom system for the 88th Air Base Wing's Medical Center. This is a brand name procurement. Only vendors who can provide Rauland products will be considered. The Med Center currently has Rauland IV and 4000 systems involved. The new equipment must be able to integrate with these existing systems. Please see the specifications titled "FM230092731703 Nurse Call Upgrade". SIC Code is 3663, NAICS Code 334290, Size Standard 750 employees. This is a Brand Name procurement, synopsis published for informational purposes only. Solicitation documents are not available. This proposed contract action is for procurement of an item for which the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1. The proposed source is Soundcom, 200 Office Park Drive Fairfield, OH 45014. The notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all quotations received within five (5) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. "An Ombudsman has been appointed to address concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The Ombudsman does not diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but communicates contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate Government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman shall maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selections process."
