Description

Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to add platform integration efforts to the sole source contract to BAE Systems, Nashua, NH synopsized on 17 April 2009. The FY10 efforts are for the integration of the Advanced Precision Kill Weapon System (APKWS II) on the UH-1Y. It is anticipated that the resultant activity shall be an additional Firm Fixed Fee Contract Line Item Number for the integration. Unless otherwise stated herein, no formal request for proposal or additional written information is currently available. Request for same will be disregarded. A determination by the Government not to compete is solely within the discretion of the Government. This synopsis is published for information purposes only. (THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS). BAE Systems, Nashua, NH is the sole designer, developer and manufacturer of the APKWS II, and as such, is the only known source available with the requisite technical knowledge, experience and tooling to produce the requirements described herein, in order to satisfy the Government's requirement. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for the supplies anticipated needed herein is 336414. IMPORTANT ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FOR INTERESTED PARTIES: There are no commitments by the Government to issue any solicitations, make an award or awards, or to be responsible for any monies expended by any interested parties before award of a contract for the efforts mentioned above.
