Description
This announcement is being issued to notify potential offerors that the scheduled site visit is the only opportunity for offerors to tour the powerhouses and transmission yards of the hydroelectric facilities. These areas are not opened to the public. Access will not be given to these areas other than the organized meeting. The below information can be found on the SF-1442 in the Proposal Submission Package and in Section L, Clause entitled "Site Visit". Organized site visits have been scheduled following the 8:00 am Presolicitation Conference, Thursday, April 22, 2010. Participants are required to have hard hats for the site visits. The Government will not be providing hard hats; please provide hard hats for all your participants. Parking at the powerhouses is extremely limited and the tour participants may be shuttled or may have to walk from designated parking areas. Participants will meet at--the Red Lion Inn, Port Angeles, Washington, in the Juan de Fuca Room. Panoramic photos of the interior of the powerhouses are publically available for viewing at the following website: http://nonplused.org/panos/elwha/ The site is not maintained by the NPS. Neither guarantee of access to the website or its content, nor accuracy of information provided is made by NPS. Both dams are active hydroelectric facilities and have restricted access. Attendees will be escorted through the powerhouses in groups of 10-12 people. The number of groups will depend on the number of reserved participants. Therefore, the actual time each individual will tour each powerhouse cannot be determined at this time. Accordingly, to reserve a space for this site visit, all interested parties must contact Audrey Winters, Contract Specialist via e-mail; audrey_winters@nps.gov by COB April 13, 2010.
