- Description
- The Vehicular Integration for C4ISR/EW Interoperability (VICTORY) Industry Days & Standards Body Kick-off meeting will be co-hosted by the Assistant Secretary of the Army (Acquisition, Logistics and Technology) ASA (ALT) System of Systems Engineering Office and CG, Research Development and Engineering Command (RDECOM). The event will take place May 4th and 5th 2010 in San Antonio, Texas. The focus of the conference is twofold: introduce Industry to the VICTORY Architecture and for Government to initiate the Working Groups of the VICTORY Standards Body. Details of the agenda and location and registration information are posted at www.victory-standards.org (129.162.104.103). VICTORY is an effort to develop, validate, demonstrate and maintain a set of open standards for the integration of Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) and related items of equipments on Army platforms. The goals are to facilitate a decrease in Size, Weight, and Power (SWaP) requirements, improve technology transition and provide evolutionary growth in capabilities. VICTORY standards will be developed in cooperation with industry and will be open to support multi-vendor implementation. It is the intent for these standards to be used in a large number of future acquisition programs. The special conference room rate will only be available until April 19, 2010. Those planning to attend the conference must register no later than by 1500 April 29, 2010. The VICTORY Architecture Documentation, the VICTORY Standards Plan, and the Preliminary VICTORY Standards Outline will be posted by 20 April. Participation in Industry Days is NOT a requirement for future participation in any future VICTORY activities or acquisitions citing VICTORY standards.
