- RECOVERY - This project is funded in whole by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). This project is located in the Lincoln National Forest. The project is for the stabilization of Mexican Canyon Trestle. The work will consist of replacing the failed and missing structural timber members with Government supplied timber, reusing existing hardware to the extent possible and providing new hardware as needed; make splices or install blocking as required to replace identified timbers; disposal of scrap timbers removed from the structure and other scrap materials; clearing, grubbing, and roadway obilteration necessary to accomplish the work; and developing and implementing a NMDOT approved traffic control plan ****NOTE: THE REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP) WILL BE UPLOADED TO THIS WEBSITE ON OR ABOUT APRIL 16, 2010. PLEASE DO NOT CALL TO ASK WHEN THE SOLICITATION WILL BE POSTED AND WHERE ARE THE DRAWINGS. THE DRAWINGS AND STATEMENT OF WORK WILL BE WITH THE RFP***** THE RFP WILL CLOSE ON MAY 17, 2010 AT 2:00 P.M. PACIFIC TIME. This solicitation is unrestricted under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program, FAR Part 19.10. The purpose of this program is to assess the ability of small businesses to compete successfully in certain industry categories without competition being restricted by the use of small business set-asides. This portion of the program is limted to the designated industry groups listed in section FAR Part 19.1005. Note: No paper copies of the solicitation will be provided. All information needed to make an offeror will be provided under this solicitation on or about APRIL 16, 2010. Please see the solicitation for site visit information. A pre-proposal meeting will be held and the date and time as well as the location will be furnished in the solicitation.
