- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; Quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation No. DTRT57-10-Q-80071 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). This solicitation is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP), FAR Part 13.5 and FAR Part 12. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-40 dated March 23, 2010. The NAICS Code is 334111 and the Small Business size standard is 1,000 people. The U.S. Department of Transportation, Research and Innovative Technology Administration, John A. Volpe National Transportation Systems Center (Volpe Center, Cambridge, MA, is seeking to acquire 25 Ruggedized Laptop Computers with handles. The Government intends to award a Firm Fixed-Price Purchase Order on a competitive basis for this procurement.
