Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commerical items prepared in accordance with the format found in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested, and a separate written soliciation will not be issued. The soliciation number for this request is 70181AQ056 and the solicitation is issued as a request for quote (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through the current Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC 05-40) and Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). This is not a small business set aside, procurement NAICS classification code: 423610 and PSC code: 5340 STATEMENT OF WORK: Background: Existing radio shelter batteries have reached end of life and must be replaced. For 2010, 14,000lbs of batteries will be replaced at 7 repeater sites located at the Innoko, Yukon Delta, and Selawik refuges. The batteries are sealed, non-spillable 12V AGM batteries specifically designed for Photovoltaic applications. The batteries are packaged in sealed crates and then transported to each site via helicopter.
