- Bids are being solicited under solicitation number RFQ20053611BBW. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; bids are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation is issued as an invitation for bids (IFB), unless otherwise indicated herein. If your company can provide the product/services listed on the solicitation and comply with all of the solicitation instructions, please respond to this notice. GSA Schedule Bids Only: Sellers bidding on this opportunity MUST have the items requested on an existing GSA Schedule. The Schedule must either be in the Seller's name or the Seller must be able to document its ability to act as an agent of a partner's Schedule. Sellers must not bid more than their applicable contract ceiling price, excluding the FedBid Fee, for contract-specific items. If FedBid receives notice that, due to inclusion of the FedBid Fee, the Selected Bid's line item pricing is higher than the Selected Seller's applicable published government contract pricing, the FedBid Fee will be reduced to ensure the Selected Bid's line item pricing does not exceed the Selected Seller's applicable contract pricing. Includes operation manual. Complies with US FCC Part 19/47 CFR Part 18. ETL approved to UL standards 1262 and 950., 1, EA; LI 002, CEM Part #907395 - MARS Xpress Vessel Starter Set, 40 place, 55 mL: The starter set includes (40) 55 mL Xpress vessels, a 40 place turntable with 40 composite sleeves for use with the MarsXpress system only., 2, EA; LI 003, CEM Part #565736 - MarsXpress Temperature Control Option: Used for control of MarsXpress vessels ONLY, this option controls the temperature of ALL vessels in each batch to the maximum number of MarsXpress vessels - 40. This option effectively utilizes up to 40 control vessels, rather than the standard single control vessel. Allows verification of each vessel achieving setpoint. Control consists of 2 NIST traceable calibrated temperature sensors accurately controlling the internal temperature of every vessel to a maximum vessel number of 40 per run and onboard instrument installed electronics allowing full monitoring of all MarsXpress vessels to 330 degrees C. Vessel overtemperature protection (TempGuard) is included with this option for MarsXpress vessel technologies only., 1, EA; LI 004, CEM Part #574150 - Universal Pressure Sensor: This option provides overpressure or limit control for a full set of Xpress and Omni vessels only. The sensor provides feedback control of the microwave power application based on the level of acid vapor detected in the cavity exhaust stream. Microwave application is halted in response to certain levels of vapor detected. Does not provide internal temperature measurement., 1, EA; LI 005, CEM Part #921000 - Installation and Training, 1/2 Day (MARS/STAR): Installation and training includes information on operation of a unit, routine maintenance and basic application training., 1, EA; LI 006, CEM Part #*9999 - Shipping and Handling, 1, EA; For this solicitation, DHS Customs and Border Protection intends to conduct an online competitive reverse auction to be facilitated by the third-party reverse auction provider, FedBid, Inc. FedBid has developed an online, anonymous, browser based application to conduct the reverse auction. A Seller may submit a series of pricing bids, which descend in price during the specified period of time for the aforementioned reverse auction. DHS Customs and Border Protection is taking this action in an effort to improve both seller access and awareness of requests and the agency's ability to gather multiple, completed, real-time bids. All responsible Sellers that respond to this solicitation MUST submit the pricing portion of their bid using the online exchange located at www.FedBid.com. There is no cost to register, review procurement data or make a bid on www.FedBid.com. The particular brand name, product, or feature described is essential to the Government's requirements, and market research indicates other companies' similar products, or products lacking the particular feature, do not meet, or cannot be modified to meet, the Government's needs. Results of market research indicate other similar products do not have at least 40 vessels, and/or cannot sustain a 250 degree celsius temperature.
