- RECOVERY: THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY UNDER THE AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT PROGRAM. The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) awarded a task order against an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity Contract under the National Resource Center Domain 2. The successful offeror of this task order award was Westat. This task order was awarded in the amount of $10,682,420. This task order is for planning, implementation and maintenance of a knowledge sharing network for the Health Information Technology Research Center (HITRC) on behalf of the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC) to support the Regional Exchange Centers (RECs) funded under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. The RECs are a key component of the ONC’s approach to speed the adoption of electronic health records by primary care practitioners. This project was competed on a cost reimbursement basis. There are many uncertainties involved in contract performance that do not permit costs to be estimated with sufficient accuracy to issue a fixed-price task order.
