THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT, NOT A REQUEST FOR A PROPOSAL. A SOLICITATION DOCUMENT WILL NOT BE ISSUED AND PROPOSALS WILL NOT BE REQUESTED. It is the intent of the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI) for the National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI), to negotiate/award a purchase order to WorldViz LLC, 27 West Anapamu Street, St. Barabara, CA 93101 for two WorldViz X8 Optical Precision Tracking Systems. The components needed in order to upgrade the current system are developed and sold solely by WorlViz LLC. WorldViz is the only company that produces the components that will work with the existing system. This acquisition is being conducted under FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, and is exempt from the requirements of FAR Part 6, Competition Requirements. The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) Code is 334111 and the Size Standard is 1,000 Employees. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. The determination by the Government not to compete the proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
