Description
Provide all professional skilled electrical labor, equipment and supervision to perform electrical work at the DOE Headquarters, Forrestal Facility. Electrical work will include but not be limited to the following:1. Install and repair motion sensors, wall receptacles, light switches, lighting fixtures and various types of recessed, wall and pole mounted HID lighting.2. Run all types of V" to 6" electrical conduit and cable both inside the building and outside underground conduit and cable.3. Run new wires, 12 volts to 600 volts systems to include coax cable for TV and computers.4. Repair and install switchboards, load centers, lighting and power distribution panels, circuit breakers, disconnect switches, motor control centers, transfer switches, enclosed circuit breakers, bus dust switches & breakers and dry type transformers. Operating voltage for all equipment is 600 volts or less.5. Repair and install motors, heaters, soft starts, variable frequency drives and exhaust fans. All contract employees shall wear uniforms identifying the company name and the first name of the employees. All employees must sign in and out upon entering and exiting the facility for the day in a DOE provided log book which is located in room GM-174. Criteria for quotation will be based on a person cost per hour, using a certified journeyman electrician, licensed in one of the following jurisdictions: District of Columbia, State of Maryland or the State of Virginia. Costs will be a straight hourly charge, regardless of the hour at which work is performed. The company providing these services must also possess an active Master Electrician License in one of the jurisdictions listed above. Contractor to provide proof of licenses prior to award. Emergency response time shall be within 2 hours of request.All contract employees must be U.S. Citizens and be able to obtain a DOE building access clearance. All clearance badges must be returned to DOE upon completion of the contract. Contractor will not be allowed to use any DOE/ Government equipment unless specifically authorized in writing by the Contracting Officers Representative. Requests will be limited to large equipment such as hydraulic man lifts that are required for some projects. Overtime will not be paid for work that is pre-scheduled for 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday. All materials will be provided by the DOE, Forrestal.
