- PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE ANNOUNCEMENT TO ASCERTAIN WEBSITE ADDRESS TO DOWNLOAD PROJECT DOCUMENTS AND PROJECT DETAILS. The work of this project is to prepare an Historic Furnishings Report (HFR) Implementation Plan which is the final phase of a project documenting the furnishings in the home and ofice complex at Frederick Law Olmsted National Historic Site, Brookline, MA. The Request for Quotations will be available on the National Business Center website at http://ideasec.nbc.gov on or about April 15, 2010 with quotes due approximately 21 calendar days following issuance. Responses from offerors will be accepted at the address listed in the solicitation in HARD COPY ONLY, with the manual signature of the authorized company official. Facsimile and electronic offers shall NOT be accepted. The NAICS code being used for this procurement action is 541720 with a size standard of $7.0 million. PAPER COPIES OF THIS SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED AND TELEPHONE REQUESTS OR FAX REQUESTS FOR THIS SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Instructions are contained on the website (http://www.fedbizopps.gov) for downloading the solicitation and attachments. It is the responsibility of all offerors to acknowledge ALL amendments to the solicitation. All vendors interested in doing business with the government are required to pre-register in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) at www.ccr.gov. The CCR is a self-service database. Vendors register themselves and maintain their own information through the CCR website. This procurement is a Small Business Set-Aside. Simplified Acquisition (FAR Part 13) procedures will be used. This solicitation is a Best Value Request for Quotes and offers shall be evaluated on the responses to the following criteria: 1. Knowledge of American decorative arts and material culture spanning from the last quarter of the nineteenth century to the third quarter of the twentieth century. 2. Research experience and past performance utilizing primary source materials and writing reports dealing with historic furnishings as demonstrated by a resume, including references, that describes the offeror's work in this area, and samples of publications or reports, especially evidence of preparation of historic furnishings plans and reports. 3. Knowledge of American history and American art history spanning from the last quarter of the nineteenth century to the third quarter of the twentieth century. 4. Familiarity with issues related to historic house museums. The Government reserves the right to cancel this solicitation. This announcement does not constitute the solicitation.
