- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. This is not a solicitation, but market research to determine potential sources to purchase a Storage Resident to be on-site full time to manage the ACC MULTIMEDIA, for Langley AFB, Virginia. This requirement will entail the following: ACC needs a Storage Resident to be on-site full time to manage the ACC MULTIMEDIA production storage environment working across the entire ACC Command collaboratively with the ACC MULTIMEDIA employees and the Implementation teams. The Storage Resident will be on-site to assist with the implementation and management of the entire ACC Multimedia Solution across the command. The resident will sit at Langley AFB and will manage the entire solution across all 12 bases remotely from a desktop at Langley. The Contractor will ensure industry best practices are followed during the implementation and following 12-month period. The Contractor will facilitate the training of the ACC personnel and will provide mission support for the implementation and management of all system hardware and software solutions to include the Unified Storage Platforms (Celerra NSs), Celerra management tools, Signiant software used to manage the replication of data between the ACC bases, as well as support the interfaces with ACC application owners. The Contractor will work with the other vendors involved in this solution to ensure a unified effort. The Contractor will coordinate all activities for the designated systems, primarily located in the ACC Data Centers, or as designated by ACC MULTIMEDIA for the utilization of this project's solutions and will deliver storage expertise, act as a consultant in the storage environment, and provide assistance as directed by the project sponsor and/or project leader to include items. Applicable NAICS code for this procurement is 541511. This sources sought synopsis neither constitutes a Request for Proposal (RFP), nor does it restrict the Government to an ultimate acquisition approach. This synopsis should not be construed as a commitment by the Government for any purpose. Requests for a solicitation will not receive a response. Oral communications ARE NOT acceptable in response to this notice. Sources shall include in their information, a detailed capabilities statement stating their experience and past performance in providing the same or similar items described in this notice, a point of contact with phone and e-mail information, business status (Socio-Economic Factors: 8(a), HUB Zone, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business), business size based on NAICS 541511, and a positive statement of interest to submit a proposal. If the Offeror believes that another NAICS code will be better suited for this acquisition, the Offeror may provide a suggested NAICS code and include rationalization on why that NAICS code will be more suitable. Any submissions of suggested NAICS codes will be treated as a suggestion only which may or may not be used and does not bind the Government to use the provided NAICS code.
