Description
NSN1005-00-017-9547 – This acquisition includes the purchase of a code and part number item being bought in accordance with Tri-Technologies (06MA8) P/N 8448503, Colt Defense (13629) P/N 884503 and Colt Canada (2C085) P/N 8448503 is the approved manufacturer. The intent is to award an indefinite quantity type contract for a one year base and four option years. Due to the critical application of the item, prequalification will be necessary for sources other than those already approved. Prequalification requirements have been established for sources wishing to qualify and will be available with the solicitation. Based on market research this item is manufactured for military use only and is not commercial; therefore, the Government is not using the policies contained in FAR Part 12 in its solicitation for this item. However, interested persons may identify to the contracting officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Government’s requirement with a commercial item with 15 days of this notice. FOB destination and inspection at origin is required. This solicitation is not set-aside for small business. While price may be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final award decision will be based upon a combination of price, delivery, past performance, socioeconomic, and JWOD. The required delivery is Govt FAT in 150 days and production in 120 days. One or more of the items under this acquisition may be subject to an Agreement on Government Procurement approved and implemented in the US by the Trade Agreements Act of 1979. All offers shall be in the English language and in US dollars. All interested suppliers may submit an offer. Solicitation and NSN will be available for download on the Internet at https://www.dibbs.bsm.dla.mil on its issue date. Hard copies of this solicitation are not available. For questions on the content of the solicitation contact the primary point of contact. This solicitation document contains information that has been designated as “Military Critical Technical Data.” Only businesses that have been certified by the DOD, US/Canada Joint Certification Officer, and have a valid requirement may have a copy of the solicitation document. All requests for copies of the solicitation document must include a certified copy of DD Form 2345, Military Critical Technical Data Agreement.
