- Description
- Sole Source Justification for V4TH Antenna & Mount. The U.S. Department of Commerce, NOAA/OAR/ARL/ATDD, plans to negotiate on a sole source basis, in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, with Stevens Water Monitoring Systems Inc. to provide forty-two (42) Model V4TH Antenna, V4 Satellite and forty-two (42) Model VDEM Mount, V4TH Elevation. The requirements for the antenna are as follows: Frequency range: 402 MHz + or - 10 MHz; Impedance of 50 ohms; VSWR: 1:5:1 Max.; Gain +10 dB nominal; Power: 100W CW; Input Power: 6.3 to 10 watts; Connection: N Female; Designed for GOES communication; Designed to operate in extreme environments, including hurricane force winds and rime icing. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received by closing date will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government to not compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Evidence must be provided of ability to provide the required antenna and antenna mount. Drawings can be provided upon request. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. No written solicitation will be issued.
