- The United States Army Contracting Command, Joint Munitions and LethalityContracting Center, on behalf of the U.S. Army Armament Research, Development,and Engineering Center (ARDEC), Picatinny Arsenal, NJ is seeking sources to provide computer software capable of modeling and simulating the chemical and physical properties of materials. The software shall be able to model chemical migration through a polymer matrix and calculate phase diagrams, equilibrium states, and sorption isotherms for given chemical formulations. The software shall be able to model systems and materials at the quantum levelas well as atomic and mesoscale levels. It is also required that the softwarebe broadly accepted by the materials science community or be accredited as an industry standard. Interested Sources must be able to provide technical support and maintenance for the software at Picatinny Arsenal. Software maintenance, i.e. updates/upgrades, is requested from the manufacturer for the duration of the software license period. Interested sources are requested to provide a capability statement. This includes, but is not limited to company name, address, telephone number, point of contact, company size (please specify as either Large, Foreign, Small, Small Disadvantaged, 8(a), Woman-Owned Small Business, or Service-Disabled Small Business), and applicable documentation/brochure/literature. In addition, respondents shall specifically provide/identify the following information: 1. Description of their software product in the context of the above requirements. 2. Any additional, related capabilities of their software not mentioned in the requirements. 3. A list of other government agency users of the software that would be applicable to this capability with Government Point of Contact information available. 4. Any additional information to describe the companys product's capabilities including web sites or brochures/hard copy material. This market survey is for planning purposes only. This is not a request for proposals and no contract will be awarded as a result of this announcement.All information is to be submitted at no cost or obligation to the Government.The Government is not obligated to notify respondents of the results of this survey. Interested sources should submit their qualification data and requested information no later than 1700 hrs EST on 13 April 2010 by email to rebecca.markell@us.army.mil.
