Description
THIS IS A TOTAL 100% SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESS (SDVOSB) SET-ASIDE. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) Manchester intends to issue an Invitation For Bid (IFB) to award a single, firm fixed-price contract to provide all supervision, tools, materials, equipment and labor necessary for completion of general construction project 608-07-102, '(RECOVERY ACT) Water Tower Corrosion Control located at the VA Medical Center, Manchester, NH in accordance with the specifications and drawings. The work of this project involves renovation of the Water Tower at the Veteran's Affairs Medical Center in Manchester, NH. Specific work includes structural steel work and welding, miscellaneous metal work, abrasive blasting of steel surfaces, interior and exterior painting of the water tank, and curing and disinfection. Work is to be completed within 210 calendar days from the notice to proceed. Specifications and Drawings for submitting a bid will be available at (http://www.fedbizopps.gov/) on or about April 14, 2010. All respondents must be registered in the CCR database (http://www.ccr.gov) and complete online Representations and Certifications at (http://orca.bpn.gov), along with Vets 100 at (http://vets.dol.gov/vets100/). Bidders must be registered in VetBiz at (http://www.vetbiz.gov/). Amendments to the solicitation will be posted at (http://www.fedbizopps.gov/). All parties must obtain amendments to the solicitation through this web site. Hard copies will not be mailed. Interested parties must go to the web site to be entered on the Interested Vendors List and/or to obtain copies of the Interested Vendors List. All questions must be submitted in writing to the issuing office via email to (MaryKay.Chapman@va.gov). Issue Date is tentatively scheduled for April 14, 2010. The Pre-bid meeting/Site-visit will be announced upon Solicitation issuance. Bid Opening Date will be announced in the Solicitation. The applicable NAICS Code is 238320, with the applicable size standard being $14.0 million. Cost range is between $1,000,000.00 and $2,000,000.00.
