- Description
- SOURCES SOUGHT The Marine Corps Systems Command is seeking potential sources for production and delivery of approximately three thousand (3,000) MK1077 Flatracks (NSN 3990-01-537-1045). The Marine Corps uses flatracks to facilitate the loading, unloading, and carrying of cargo. The MK1077 flatrack is a 20-foot by 8-foot welded steel flat cargo body with a front wall equipped with a lifting point. Originally procured for use with the Army Palletized Load System (PLS), it is compatible with the LVS MK18A1 RBU. It is equipped with ISO locks, sideboard kits and tie down fasteners to facilitate the movement of break-bulk materials and ISO containers. A fully loaded flatrack can be self-loaded and self-offload by an LVS MK18A1 without the aid of additional material handling equipment and by an LVS MK18 equipped with container lifting and loading chains. The MK1077 flatrack is also used with the LVSR MKR18 Cargo Variant.
