- Statement of Work Contract Clauses Solicitation The USDA NRCS Texas requires a contractor to provide a six hour block of Defensive Driving Training as outlined below: Contractor shall provide 6-hour Defensive Driving Training for approximately 765 USDA-NRCS employees. The training must be a Texas Education Agency approved course for Insurance purposes. Instruction shall be provided at 15 locations within the State of Texas as indicated below. The Government will provide classrooms, equipped with tables and chairs at each location. Each class shall be scheduled during a weekday, begin at 9:00 a.m.- 12:00 p.m; one hour for lunch, resume at 1:00 p.m – 4:00 p.m. to facilitate students travel to/from class. Training would be provided between April – June. Completion certificates for the IDS- DDC course shall be given out at the successful completion of each class. Students who do not attend the entire training shall not be considered trained, and shall not be provided with a certificate. Contractor shall provide a draft schedule by location, dates, and number of personnel trained with their proposal. Final schedule shall be negotiated based on instructor and facility availability. Contractor shall provide a syllabus of training to include training methods (slide presentation, movies, class exercise, etc) with their proposal. Contractor shall be prepared to instruct up to 10% over the estimated number of students at each location. Contractor shall make their own hotel reservations, and travel arrangements. Contractor shall provide any equipment required for presentation of training (computers, projectors, flip charts, handouts, supplies and materials). Contract pricing shall be per student trained; and shall include all costs, including travel, per diem, fees supplies and materials. Actual contract price shall be the actual number of students trained times the accepted per student price. Variation in quantity shall apply over or under the total estimated quantity by 5%, any variation above or below that range shall be negotiated as a change to the contract. Contractor shall handle requests for replacement certificates as needed directly with students requesting them. The government shall not pay for any replacement certificates, the individual student shall bear any required cost. A listing of training locations and estimated number of students to be trained by location: Zone 1 – 125 students total – training to be provided in: Lubbock - 67 students Amarillo - 58 students. Zone 2 – 112 students total – training to be provided in: Ft. Stockton - 22 students San Angelo - 67 students Kerrville - 23 students. Zone 3 – 116 students total – training to be provided in: LaGrange - 40 students Robstown - 51 students San Antonio - 25 students. Zone 4 – 98 students total – training to be provided in: Mt. Pleasant - 32 students Nacogdoches - 31 students Bryan - 35 students. Zone 5 – 139 students total, - training to be provided in: Sherman (Van Alstyne)- 25 students Graham - 62 students Meridian - 52 students State Office – 175 students total – training to be provided in: Temple – a minimum of four sessions shall be scheduled at this location.
