Description

U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) anticipates contracting with Helitune Inc, 4965 Cox Road, Glen Allen, VA, 23060 for calibration and repair services for the RT5 JS+ portable, rotor track, balance and vibration Test Set used for on the ground and in flight aircraft maintenance operations. The proposed action will be solicited as a 5-year (one (1) year base plus four (4) option years) Indefinite Delivery Indefnite Quantity (IDIQ) firm fixed price contract for supplies and services which the Government does not own specifications and drawings to permit full and open competition. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302.1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. Firms that recognize and can provide the supplies are encouraged to identify themselves. This notice of intent is not a request for a competitive proposal; however, the Government will consider all proposals received by the specified due date IAW FAR 5.203 (a). A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition is solely within the discretion of the Government. The North American Industrial Classification Code is 336413; the business size is 1000 employees. The estimated release date of the solicitation is 15 Apr 2009.
