Description
Justification and Approval The Missile Defense Agency, Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense Program (MDA/AB) awarded a sole source Cost-Plus-Fixed-Fee contract to Corvid Technologies of 145 Overhill Dr, Mooresville, North Carolina. Corvid Technologies will provide computational analysis for Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) Flight Missions and related activities. The results of these analyses will be used for pre- and post-test predictions for Aegis BMD Flight Test Missions (FTMs), as well as perform other Weapon Systems Effectiveness (WSE) and lethality-related analyses. Under this contract, Corvid Technologies will continue to develop and modify input decks as the Standard Missile-3 (SM-3) kinetic warhead and threat designs evolve and continue to provide analysis of Aegis BMD FTMs as well as perform other WSE and lethality-related analyses. Corvid is the original designer and developer of the input decks and possesses the fundamental experience and functioning knowledge upon which the original input decks were built. The awarded total cumulative face value of this contact is $1,950,355.00 with an overall total contract value of $9,196,541.00 and is funded with RDT&E funds. The period of performance for the base contract is 1 March 2010 through 28 February 2011, with four (4) one year options that goes through 28 February 2015.
