- Description
- Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division (NAWCTSD) in Orlando, FL intends to increase the ceiling on contract N65886-07-D-0001 with Tyonek Services Corporation. This increase is necessary due to continued escalation in work due to contingency operations and will allow for uninterrupted performance until a follow-on contract can be awarded. The contract is an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity with Time and Material Provisions for support services to augment the Government workforce performing Depot Level Maintenance (DLM) work on aircraft and rework of associated components/materials. The current ceiling price will be exhausted in August 2010. This increase will cover a period of 8 months until the follow on contract is awarded in February 2011. Therefore, the requirement being synopsized here would be an 8 months effort including the 2 months mobilization needed for a new contractor to assume the work. This sole source action is being requested in order for the FRCSE to have uninterrupted services until the recompeted contract is awarded. This is an update to a previous synopsis posted on January 27, 2010 for the same effort. Any firms believing they can provide these services may submit a written response to be received at the Contracting Office no later than 15 days after the date of publication of this notice. It must clearly show the firm's ability to be responsive without compromising the quality, accuracy or reliability of the services provided and without causing an interruption of critical services. The firm's response should also illustrate how it can overcome the start-up costs necessary to assume this effort in the short period of performance that this synopsis represents. The contract was originally solicited as a competitive procurement action pursuant to Section 8(a), of the Small Business Act (15 USC 637 (a)) and FAR 19.805. The NAICS Code is 336413 and the FSC/PSC Code is J015. The procurement was a 100% set-aside for 8(a) firms whose numbers of employees did not exceed 1000. If firms are interested in the follow-on effort, a Sources Sought was completed on 29 June 2009 and the synopsis for this effort is expected to be published in July 2010. The resultant contract will be set-aside for an 8 (a) Small Business. Send inquiries to: salah.hani@navy.mil (Preferred Method) OR by mail to: NAWC-TSD Attn: Mr. Salah E. Hani, Code 25332, Orlando, FL 32826, OR Fax to: 407-380-4164.
