- This synopsis is notification of the Governments intent to extend the Contract/Ordering Period for the Direct Procurement Method (DPM) of Packing and Crating Services for Military and Authorized Personnel located at Fort Drum, New York, from 01 April 2010 through 30 September 2010. This extension is necessary due to expiration of the current contract on 31 March 2010. Without this extension, the ability of Fort Drum to provide essential DPM Packing and Crating Services for personnel assigned to Fort Drum, New York will be seriously and irreversibly impacted. A determination not to compete this requirement is anticipated to be made pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals or a solicitation for offers. No award will be placed solely on the basis of this notice, since synopsis of intent to place an order cannot be considered a request for proposals or offers. Fort Drums competitive follow-on contract is currently being prepared by the MICC Center at Fort Eustis for a base plus four one-year option periods. A sources sought notice was posted on 7 Jan 10 by MICC Center Fort Eustis to www.fbo.gov under Solicitation Number W911S010B0001.
