Description
NOAA's Marine Engineering Division has a requirement for Naval Architect and Marine Engineering Services to support Naval Architect and Marine Engineering Services are needed to support NOAA fleet design requirements for Marine Operations Center, Atlantic and Pacific, located in Seattle, Washington, and Norfolk, Virginia, respectively. Work may include all phases of marine design and naval architecture including specifications and drawings, analysis, feasibility studies, life cycle management and operational engineering for the NOAA oceanographic and fisheries research ships and small vessels. Multiple awards may be made for Indefinite-Delivery, Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) type contracts in which task orders will be issued for specific work. Tasks will be performed at the contractor's facility, however the government envisions that most of the ship checking will be conducted at the ships' homeport and could be required at sites throughout the world. Award will be made for a one-year base period and four additional one-year option periods, for a maximum performance period of five years. This procurement is a 100% small business set-aside. The NAICS code for this procurement is 541330 and the size standard is $4.5 million. Subsequent work will be competed using fair opportunity procedures on a per task order basis. All responsible and fully responsive sources may submit a proposal which will be considered by the Agency. Any resulting contract will be awarded as an Indefinite-Delivery, Indefinite-Quantity contract. Solicitation documents will be made available for download on or around July 5, 2010 at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. Paper copies of this solicitation will not be issued. Interested parties should use the FedBizOpps [Add To Watchlist] and [Add Me To Interested Vendors] features which provide a notification when the RFP becomes available for download as well as all postings of information associated with this solicitation, thereafter. Each potential offeror is responsible for checking the FedBizOpps website to gain all current information related to the solicitation. The solicitation and any further announcements regarding the solicitation will be posted only at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. All vendors doing business with the Government are required to be registered with the Central Contractor Registry (CCR). NO award can be made unless the vendor is registered in CCR.
