Description
THIS IS AN AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT OF 2009 (ARRA) PROCUREMENT. RECOVERY- 99 – 26 Road Visitor Facility Repairs, Gifford Pinchot National Forest, Mt. St. Helens National Volcanic Monument, Cowlitz County, WA The purpose of this announcement is to make notice that the Forest Service contemplates releasing a solicitation numbered AG-0489-S-10-0400 on or about April 8, 2010, for the RECOVERY – 99 – 26 Road Visitor Facility Repairs. If the solicitation is released, it will be released through this FedBizOpps website, and prospective bidders should visit this FedBizOpps website from time to time on or after April 8, 2010, to obtain a copy of the solicitation. This notice meets the requirements of FAR 5.201. However, the Forest Service reserves the right not to release a solicitation. PROJECT DESCRIPTION. The U.S. Forest Service, EROC-NW, servicing Region 6 has a requirement for 99 - 26 Road Visitor Facility Repairs. The work included in this contract will be to: remove of 9 steel doors and replace with new steel doors and frames, pressure wash and repaint the interior and exterior of 6 restrooms, repaint information boards at 5 locations, pressure wash and reseal exterior of wooded warming hut, repair concrete flooring, repair small sinkhole and manufacture and install a new steel gate. Proper disposal of used material is to be included as part of this contract. Desired start date is June 1, 2010 and performance to be completed within 30 days. The contractor shall supply all services, labor, equipment and material, supervision, transportation, operating supplies, and incidentals except those items, if any, listed as Government-furnished property needed to perform the work of 99 – 26 Road Visitor Facility Repairs in compliance with its terms, specifications, and provisions. The magnitude of construction for this acquisition is between $25,000 and $100,000. The Government intends to award a negotiated firm fixed price contract. PROJECT LOCATION – From Vancouver, Washington. Follow State Hwy. 503 North towards the town of Cougar, Washington. From Cougar, follow State Hwy 503 spur. This road will become Forest Service Road 90. Continue following Forest Service Road 90 till it intersects Forest Service Road 25. Follow Forest Service Road 25 Northerly until it intersects Forest Service Road 99. PARTICIPATION. This acquisition is a Small Business Set-Aside. The North American Classification System Code (NAICS) is 238990. The size standard is $14 Million. Contractors are required to be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and the Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA). The solicitation with specifications and Davis Bacon Contract Act wage rates will be posted to the FedBizOps website www.fbo.gov. REGISTRATIONS.
