Description
RECOVERY – TRAIL BRIDGES – GRANITE & BIG CREEK - UMATILLA NATIONAL FOREST THIS IS AN AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT OF 2009 (ARRA) PROCUREMENT The purpose of this announcement is to make notice that the Forest Service contemplates releasing a solicitation numbered AG-0489-S-10-0406 on or about March 31, 2010, for the BESSEMER MOUNTAIN ROADS DECOMMISSIONING Project. If the solicitation is released, it will be released through this FedBizOpps website, and prospective bidders should visit this FedBizOpps website from time to time on or after March 31, 2010, to obtain a copy of the solicitation. This notice meets the requirements of FAR 5.201. However, the Forest Service reserves the right not to release a solicitation. PROJECT DESCRIPTION. The U.S. Forest Service, EROC-NW, servicing Region 6 has a requirement for TRAIL BRIDGES (Granite & Big Creek) on the North Fork John Day Ranger District of the Umatilla National Forest. Work will include but is not limited to existing bridge removal, excavation, design and fabrication of bridge superstructures, gabion abutment construction, bridge installation, decking and railings, approach work. Helicopter use is authorized for this project. No mechanized equipment is allowed on two of the bridge locations and adjoining work sites. Work at one bridge site is under an Option Item. The performance period is 150 calendar days after award. The magnitude of construction for this acquisition is between $100,000 and $250,000. The Government intends to award a negotiated firm fixed price contract with option items. A 20% bid guarantee is required from all offerors. The awarded contractor is required to provide 100% Performance and Payment Bonds. PARTICIPATION. This project is to be issued on a full and open competition basis. The North American Classification System Code (NAICS) is 237990. The size standard is $33.5 Million. REGISTRATIONS.
