- THIS IS A PRESOLICITATION NOTICE - THE SOLICITATION PACKAGE WITH ALL SPECS/DRAWINGS WILL BE POSTED ON 7 APRIL 2010. RECOVERY --Work for this project consists of the construction of a water system (hydrants, valves, line, and connections) and treatment building (connection to well, building prep, building placement, and interior plumbing), This project shall be located at the Glade Guard Station located on the Dolores Ranger District of the San Juan National Forest. The principal features of work to be performed include, but are not limited to the following: 1. Salvage existing hand pump. 2. Adapt well for use with a pitless adapter and remove existing concrete pad. 3. Installation of water distribution piping and appurtenances from well supply to treatment building, including a daylight drain. 4. Preparation, concrete slab placement, and final grading of treatment building site. 5. Installation of all treatment building plumbing and photovoltaic wiring systems. 6. Seeding of areas disturbed by construction.. The work is located at Transfer Campground, which is approximately 1 0.5 miles northeast of Mancos, Colorado along National Forest Service Road 561. Additional work is located at Bridge Campground, which is approximately 1 9 miles north of Pagosa Springs, Colorado along National Forest Service Road 631. And the last is located at West Fork Campground, which is approximately 13.5 miles east of Pagosa Springs, Colorado and 1.6 miles north along National Forest Service Road 648. It is a total of 15.1 miles from Pagosa Springs. There is not a prebid conference or tour scheduled for this effort. Questions will be accepted up to 10 days prior to closing to beverlythompson@fs.fed.us. All responses will be posted in an Amendment. The project cost estimate is between $25,000 and $100,000. Payment Protection will be required of the successful offeror and Davis Bacon wage rates will apply. All responsible sources may submit a bid which will be considered by the Government. In accordance with FAR 4.1102(a), prospective contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to award of a contract. Lack of registration in the CCR on part of the offeror will render an offeror ineligible for award. Offerors may obtain information on registration and annual confirmation requirements by calling 888-227-2423 or via the Internet at http://www.ccr.gov//.
