Description
The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Norfolk, Contracting Department, Groton, CT Office intends to negotiate a Firm Fixed-Price contract for multiple sets of hotel rooms during differing time frames on/around the Memorial Day Weekend in Staten Island, New York City to accommodate Navy civilian, active-duty, and reservist personnel in support of Fleet Week 2010. The hotel rooms will be acquired in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12 - Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR Part 13.5 - Simplified Acquisition Procedures (Test Program for certain Commercial Items). The required period of performance is from 22 May 2010 to 04 June 2010. The North American Industry Classification System code for this acquisition is 721110. A request for quote will be available for download on or about 09 April 2010 at the following websites: http://www.neco.navy.mil, www.fbo.gov. Potential vendors are hereby notified that the solicitation and subsequent amendments to the solicitation will ONLY be available by downloading the documents at the above web sites. This office will no longer issue hard copy solicitations. By submitting a quote, the vendor will be self-certifying that neither the requestor nor the principal corporate officials and owners are currently suspended, debarred, or otherwise ineligible to receive contracts from any federal agency. Failure to do so may represent grounds for refusing to accept the quote. Through its submission, the vendor acknowledges the requirement that a prospective awardee must be registered in the Central contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to award, during performance and through final payment of any contract resulting from this solicitation. Lack of registration in the CCR database will make a vendor ineligible for award. Vendors may obtain information on registration and annual confirmation requirements by calling 1.888.227.2423, or via the Internet at http://www.ccr.gov. Additionally, to be eligible for award, the hotel must be compliant with the requirements of the Hotel and Motel Fire Safety Act of 1990 (Public Law 101-391)(15 U.S.C. 2201 et. Seq.), and is listed on the U.S. Fire Administration Hotel and Motel National Master List found at http://www.usfa.fema.gov/hotel/search.cfm. Offers proposing facilities that are not listed will be rejected as non-responsive. In addition, the offerors facility must be compliant with the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act (Public Law 101-336) (42 U.S.C. 12010 et. seq.)
