- Description
- This solicitation will be advertised on an unrestricted basis (full and open) on or about April 23, 2010. PROJECT DETAILS: This project is located about 9 miles southeast of the City of Jefferson on Forest Route 77 in Park County, Colorado. The project crosses rolling and mountainous terrain in the Pike National Forest at an approximate elevation of 8900 ft. This project consists of the reconstruction of approximately 8 miles of Forest Route 77, a two lane highway, beginning at the southern terminus of the previous reconstruction completed in 2007 and ending south of Tarryall Reservoir. This project will include major grading, drainage, aggregate base, superpave hot asphalt concrete pavement, rockery construction, bridge removal, a 91’ single span concrete bridge, fencing, turf establishment, and part width traffic control. This project will require approximately 100,000 cubic yards of earthwork, 50,000 tons of aggregate base, 20,000 tons of superpave hot asphalt concrete pavement, 3500 feet of pipe culvert, 40,000 feet of fencing, 30,000 lbs of epoxy coated reinforcement, and 273 feet of precast concrete girders. The project consists of three schedules and one option package. It is anticipated that this project will be advertised in late March with construction beginning in June, 2010 and extending up to two construction seasons.
