Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice and in accordance with the simplified acquisition procedures authorized in FAR Part 13. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The office of NOAA National Marine Fisheries Science Center (NWFSC) located in Seattle, WA intends to acquire the following items: 1. Qty of two (2) each Integrated Trawl Instrumentation (ITI) spread remote acoustic trawl monitoring sensors (part number ITI 110117). 2. Qty of two (2) each PI44 spread communication sensors (part number PI3-280355). 3. Qty of two (2) each PI44 spread remote sensors (part number PI3-280349). 4. Provide travel and labor costs for technician support to travel to Newport Oregon to aid in setting up electronics NWFSC's survey needs to acquire replacement Kongsberg - Simrad Fisheries acoustic net mensuration sensors to successfully complete its 2010 mission. NWFSC's instruments are manufactured by Kongsberg - Simrad Fisheries. The sensors are proprietary and processing of the acoustical information can only be done with Simrad processors and equipment. FRAM currently has a large investment in the Simrad product line, and uses it to collect its critical CPUE data. Current sensors arrays will only work with Kongsberg - Simrad electronics and equipment. These instruments must be FOB destination Seattle, WA, for delivery no later than April 30, 2010. Only firms that can provide the exact SIMRAD equipment described herein will be considered. All interested parties must respond to this announcement within fifteen (15) calendar days of its publication. FAR 52.204-8, Annual Representations and Certifications (Feb 2009)****The Western Regional Acquisition Division, requires that all contractors doing business with this Acquisition Office be registered with the Central Contractor Registry (CCR) as of October 1, 2003. After this date, NO award can be made unless the vender is registered in CCR. For additional information and to register in CCR please access the following web site: http://www.ccr.gov. In order to register with the CCR and to be eligible to receive an award from this acquisition office, all offerors must have a Dun & Bradstreet Number.
