- This is a NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT using Federal Acquisition Regulation FAR Part 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. This will be an acquisition under the authority of the test program for commercial items section 4202 of the Clinger-Cohen Act of 1996. The US Army Research, Development and Engineering Command Contracting Center, Aberdeen Installation Contracting Division, 4118 Susquehanna Avenue, Aberdeen, MD 21005 has a requirement to procure the following items: Item# 1Markes U-UNITY-21X1X-2S, Series 2 Unity Thermal QTY 2 EACH Desorber (Includes: Electronic Carrier Gas Control, Connection to Agilent GC, Dry Gas & Carrier Gas Pneumatics) Item# 2Markes U-T10CW-2S, Unity 2 CW Agents Cold Trap QTY 2 EACH Item# 3 Markes U-ULTRA-XX-2S, Series 2 Ultra 100 Position QTY 2 EACH Thermal Desorption Autosampler Item#4 Markes U-ULFAN, Upgrade Cooling Fan for Ultra QTY 2 EACH Autosampler Item#5 Markes U-MFC200-2S, Mass Flow Controller 5 QTY 4 EACH 200ml/min Item#6 PCI I/O Serial Port Board for PC QTY 2 EACH The intended delivery date for the item(s) is May 1st, 2010. The Government intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price sole source contract to QUANTUM ANAYLYTICS, 363 Vintage Park Drive, Foster City, CA 94404-4435. This firm is the sole developer/manufacturer /distributor of the product. The associated North America Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 423430 and the Business Size Standard is 100. All responses received within five (5) days after date of publication of this notice will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement no later than 2:00 PM Eastern Time, March 30th, 2010. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government in future procurements.
