*** RECOVERY ACT *** PROJECT NUMBER: R640-09-166P PROJECT TITLE: RELOCATE ULTRASOUND SUITE AND RENOVATE FOR 64 SLICE CT EQUIPMENT PROJECT LOCATION: VA PALO ALTO HEALTH CARE SYSTEM, PALO ALTO DIVISION, 3801 MIRANDA AVE, PALO ALTO, CA NOTE: This is a pre-solicitation announcement limited to Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) companies pursuant to the authority set forth under the Veterans First Contracting Program and Public Law 109-461. This procurement is a total 100% SDVOSB set-aside. Offerors will be required to submit both a technical and price proposal. The solicitation will contain proposal instructions. NAICS Code is 236220 with Small Business Size Standard of $33.5 million. Magnitude of construction is between $1,000,000 and $2,000,000. Acquisition shall be conducted in accordance with FAR 15.101-2 - Lowest Price Technically Acceptable Source Selection Process. A Pre-Proposal meeting with a Site Visit is scheduled for Thursday, April 15, 2010 at the VA Palo Alto Health Care System, Palo Alto Division located at 3801 Miranda Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304. Meeting will begin at 2:20 PM in the main lobby of Building 5 next to main entrance. Due to patient care, this date may change, so official date and time for this meeting and site visit will be in the RFP. Only one site visit will be scheduled for this project, so interested bidders are highly encouraged to attend official site visit. The RFP will be issued electronically at FBO Website on, or around April 5, 2010, and the offer due date will be on, or around May 6, 2010. The Department of Veterans Affairs VISN 21 Consolidated Contracting Activity will be issuing a request for proposal (RFP) for a contractor to provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, expertise, supervision and administration necessary to renovate/convert existing Ultrasound Suite in Bldg. 102, Radiology Department, for the installation of a 64-Slice CT Equipment and to relocate Ultrasound Suite to new location, as will be shown in drawings. Work will include, but is not limited to site survey, demolition, painting, electrical, installation of lead shielding radiation requirements in procedure room walls, installation of medical, vacuum and oxygen outlets, modification of HVAC, plumbing and fire sprinkler systems.
