- TITLE: Study to define integration of link 16 into United Arab Emirates (UAE) Block 60 F-16 aircraft FIRST SUBMITTED ON: 03/18/2010. LAST UPDATED ON: N/A. DESCRIPTION: SOURCES SOUGHT The Air Force intends to award a sole source contract to Lockheed Martin for the study of the incorporation of Link 16 into the Block 60 F-16 aircraft. Study will define an approach for F-16 Block 60 Link 16 installation and integration, as requested by the United Arab Emirates (UAE), with sufficient detail for the F-16 SG to prepare the Pricing and Availability (P&A) Data to perform the task. The study must address all of the tasks needed to incorporate Link 16 into the aircraft. The study needs to address both the hardware and software changes as well as the testing requirements. The contractor must produce and deliver the required study. Deliveries must be made 9 months after receipt of contract. This is a SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. REQUESTS FOR A SOLICITATION WILL NOT RECEIVE A RESPONSE. This is in support of market research being conducted by the Air Force to identify capable potential sources. Company Information to include: a. Points of contact, addresses, email addresses, phone numbers b. Identification as a large U.S. business, small U.S. business, or a foreign business. 2. A summary of your related capabilities information based upon the Contractor Experience. It should be brief and concise, yet clearly demonstrate your abilities to meet the stated requirements. Limit responses to a total page limit of 5 pages. Pages shall be single-spaced and one-sided. The font shall be Times New Roman and no smaller than 10pt with at least a one-inch margin. Please submit your responses electronically in a Microsoft Word compatible file. 3. Capabilities will not be accepted on the telephone. Any information submitted by respondents to this synopsis is strictly voluntary. The Government will not reimburse the respondents for any costs associated with their response. This synopsis does not constitute a Request for Proposals nor does its issuance restrict the Government as to its ultimate acquisition approach. The Government reserves the right to contact the submitting parties, on an as required basis, for further clarification on material provided. The Government reserves the right to contact additional customers to obtain information that will be used to evaluate the offeror's product.
