- NASA/KSC has a requirement for the following items: 1. (1) 5699-s Probe, Metal 25.5ohm SPRT, -200 to 660C; 2. (1) 1911-4-7 Cal, SPRT by Fixed point, -200 to 660C; 3. (1)1594-156 Thermometry Bridge, Precision Temperature; 4. (1) 2590 scanner, 'Mighty Mux II'1590. NASA/KSC intends to purchase the items from Fluke Corporation, Hart ScientificDivision 799 E. Utah Valley drive, American Fork, UT 84003.NASA/KSC Lab currently is using an obsolete Thermometry Bridge, and processes andprocedures have been built around this instrument. It is unlikely that another sourcecould be found for the requested Precision Thermometry Bridge and Scanner that would havethe compatibility required, as well as the unique features and accuracies offered byFluke Corporation. The acquisition of the Precision Thermometry Bridge and Scanner willensure minimal effort in implementing this instrument into existing test stations andprocedures.The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12.Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform theeffort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local timeon April 1, 2010. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for thepurpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and opencompetition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretionof the government.Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.An Ombudsman has been appointed.
