- The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS), Research Triangle Park, NC intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with BMG LABTECH INC, Durham, NC 27703, pursuant to 41 U.S.C.253(c)(1)--Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This purchase is for one (1) each of the following item: 1) Part Number 415-201; Description - POLARstar Omega microplate reader has the following features: *Spectrometer for full spectrum (200-850nm) UV/vis absorbance capture in under one second per well. * Five measurement principles: fluorescene, time resolved fluorescence, visible and low UV absorbance, glow luminescence (and flash with injectors) - dual luciferase capable, and fluorescence polarization. *High performance luminescence measurement with dedicated noise reduction circuits, 2,000,000 counts per second. BRET is performed with simultaneous dual reading * Reads up to eight flurophores per plate * FRET performed with simultaneous dual emission for speed and stability * Top/bottom reading, programmable shaking, 45 C incubation and auto-optic switching * Accommodates two reagent injectors, 5-350ul in 0.5ul increments * Can collect date as fast as 50ms, 20 points per second * FDA 21 CFR Part 11 Compliant Software * Quick-Start software delivers full functionality without complex protocol setup. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability. Respond to this requirement by submitting written capabilities/specifications to the Purchasing Agent at the address stated above. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, all responses received within 8 days from the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action based upon responses to this notice is solely with the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. If no affirmative responses are received within 8 days of this notice to determine whether a qualified source is more advantageous to the Government, an order will be placed with BMG LabTech Inc. The NAICS Code/Size is 423490/500. This procurement is to be processed using Simplified Acquisition Procedures in conjunction with FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and is not expected to exceed the Simplified Acquisition threshold of $100,000.
