Description
This publication serves as notice of intent to procure a shrinking and stretching machine; stretching dies; and, shrinking dies for the U. S. Department of Commerce (DOC), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Aircraft Operations Center (AOC), located at MacDill AFB, FL on a sole source basis with Marchant Machine Manufacturing. The government intends to acquire the shrinking and stretching machine; stretching dies; and shrinking dies under the authority of FAR Part 13, 106-1(b). The government intends to issue a fixed price purchase order to Marchant Machine Manufacturing for a Shrinking and Stretching Machine Model 12A; Standard Radius Stretching Dies T3B2; and Standard Radius Shrinking Dies T3A2. AOC currently has a Marchant Model 6A. By purchasing the Model 12A, they will increase capability due to the increased throat dept of the 12A. Both pieces of equipment use the same forming dies which provides for cross utilization and standardization. This provides a cost savings because the dies are $5,000 per set. This is a simplified acquisition under $25,000.00. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive responses. However, all responses received within ten days after date of publication of this notice will be considered by the government. Responses can be faxed to Sharon Clisso at (816) 274-6816 or sent via email to Sharon.Clisso@noaa.gov. A determination by the government not to compete the acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. DOC, Eastern Acquisition Division-Kansas City Office requires that all contractors doing business with this office be registered with the Central Contractor Registry (CCR). No award can be made to a company not registered in CCR. For additional information and to register in CCR please access the following web site: http://www.ccr.gov. In order to register, all offerors must have a Dunn & Bradstreet Number. A Dunn & Bradstreet number may be acquired free of charge by contacting Dunn & Bradstreet on-line at http://www.dnb.com/eupdate or by phone at (800) 333-0505.
