- Sole Source. The Mission and Installation Contracting Command Center-Yuma in Yuma Proving Ground (USAYPG), Arizona, intends to negotiate a firm-fixed price contract on a sole source basis with VBOX USA, 1368 Anderson Rd, Clawson, MI 48017. Pursuant to FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements, under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). This requirement is for various VBOX items. VBOX USA is the only source which can interface with the CAN vehicle data bus and, records GPS position, velocity, and time and provides analog and digital outputs of speed and time. The VBOX is the only GPS based speed sensor that is compatible with our rlvbdsp03 and rvlbdsp02 displays that we currently have in our inventory of equipment. This will be a commercial acquisition using simplified acquisition procedures for commercial items per FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 13. The North American Classification System (NAICS) code is 334220 with a standard size of 750 employees. This contract will consist of Contract Line Item Number (CLIN) 0001, Quantity: 5, Unit of Issue: Each, Description: ASDD606-09PN HE Deutsch 9W Connector; (CLIN) 0002, Quantity: 5, Unit of Issue: Each, Description: VBOX 10Hz Speed Sensor CAN Bus output, NMEA serial output, 1 x digital output, 1 x analogue output, Brake Trigger/Event Mark input and DGPS correction input, GPS Magnetic Antenna; (CLIN) 0003, Quantity: 2, Unit of Issue: Each, Description: 8 Channel (16bit) Analogue Interface(CLIN) 0004, Quantity: 2, Unit of Issue: Each, Description: 8 Channel Thermocouple Interface & K type Thermocouple Interface block; (CLIN) 0005, Quantity: 2, Unit of Issue: Each, Description: 4 Channel Frequency and Pulse Counter Input Module; (CLIN) 0006, Quantity: 2, Unit of Issue: Each, Description: 16 Channel Vehicle CAN Interface; (CLIN) 0007, Quantity: 2, Unit of Issue: Each, Description: Video VBOX NTSC with User Definable Logo, Camera Kit and CAN Logging. Award for this requirement will be in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirements or submit proposals. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOPALS. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. If you feel that your firm possesses the ability to provide these requirements, then you must respond by submitting literature that demonstrates your firms technical capability to meet these requirements by 22 March 2010 12:00 PM MST.
