- Description
- This synopsis is for a Multiple Year, Indefinite Delivery Requirements Contract (IDRC) for the procurement of sole source, part-numbered items manufactured by GE CAGEs 99207 and 77482. This acquisition supports the tenets of streamlining by employing a Joint Opportunity whereby DLA consumables as well as Depot Level Reparables (DLRs) are combined in a single acquisition strategy using long term contracting procedures. A single award is anticipated. The key component of this Strategic Supplier Alliance (SSA) will be the ability to effectively provide management visibility into efficiency and productivity of the contract. DSCR currently does not have a competitive data package for any of the 7,364 DLA consumable NSNs or 393 DLRs included in this solicitation. The initial phase will consist of approximately 699 NSN’s (both DLA consumables and DLRs) which are anticipated to be awarded at time of basic contract award. The NSNs, part numbers, and annual estimated quantities are available upon request and will also be posted at the Strategic Acquisition Directorate website. Alternate offers must submit a complete technical data package for each NSN for approval in order to be considered for award. Terms are FOB Origin, inspection/acceptance at origin, DLA Direct shipments only. Foreign Military Sales (FMS) applicable to DLRs only. Other than Full and Open Competition- 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1). Sole Source Reference FAR 6.302-1(a)(2). Solicitation is expected to result in an IDRC that is firm, fixed pricing with incentives. The Statement of Work (SOW) outlines the government’s requirements and includes metrics to monitor contractor performance. DLA Surge & Sustainment requirements apply to the DLA consumable items. Pricing will be based on the Estimated Annual Demand (EAD) quantity. Required items are commercial and military unique. Required delivery is to be negotiated for each item. The solicitation is expected to be issued on March 30, 2010 with a closing date of April 30, 2010. A copy of the solicitation is available via the DLA-BSM Internet Bid Board System (DIBBS) at: https://www.dibbs.bsm.dla.mil on the issue date cited in the RFP. From the DIBBS homepage, select “RFP/IFBs” from the top of the page. Then choose the appropriate “Search Category” & “Search Value”, then click “Submit” in order to view the RFP. RFP’s are in portable document format (PDF). To download and view this document you will need the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Reader. This software is available free at: http://www.adobe.com. A paper copy of this solicitation will not be available.
