Description
The purpose of this amendment is to answer questions received. 1. What type of ownership is required (bill of sale, etc)? No bill of sale or title will be required. 2. What exactly is meant by serviceable? Serviceable means that they need to appear serviceable (looks like it could run) needs tires that hold air, doors, hood, trunk lid, seats, dash, all the things that make it look like a running car/truck. 3. Is the contractor relieved of liability for the cars, trucks and bikes after the drop-off? The Contractor is relieved of all responsibility after delivery of the vehicles. The vehicles shall meet all requirements listed in the solicitation and will not be accepted if they do not meet the requirements. 4. Is there a specific drop-zone for the salvage training cars, trucks and bikes? There are several down range locations on Pinion Canon, the exact locations will be given to the awardee. 5. After initial award of contract, can the vehicles be delivered in increments or do they have to be delivered at once? Increments are ok, 5 to 10 vehicles at a time will be ok. Delivery period will begin after award and must be completed by 30 April 2010. 6. Do the vehicles need to have full interiors (seats, dashboards, etc)? Yes. 7. Must the engines and transmissions be present? Do not require engines or transmissions be in vehicles as long as they appear to be in running condition. Must have all fluids drained from them. 8. Is the delivery site for the vehicles in an off-road location or will a car carrier be able to perform the delivery? All vehicles will be downloaded on a gravel road surface. 9. Is there a certain number of types expected (i.e. 20 cars, 10 SUVs, etc) As requested: 30 small cars and trucks just like you would find overseas. No requirement for a certain amount of cars versus trucks. No large SUVs. One or two minivans would be allowed. 10. Due to the current rise in scrap metal pricing, scrap yards are selling vehicles at an all time high. Is there any way the deadline for shipment could be extended to April 30th to allow for better pricing? The deadline for all vehicles has been extended to 30 April 2010.
