- Description
- The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) intends to award a sole source purchase order to the World Road Association Permanent International Association of Road Congresses (PIARC) for 2010 agency membership dues. PIARC is the coordinator of the Strategic Theme C, ' Safety of the Road System'. Additionally, the research being conducted by PIARC through the membership will cover research activities for safety, developing transferring and introducing innovative ideas for best practices and new technologies in the area transportation safety. Because PIARC coordinates and conducts all of the research for their members they are considered the only source for the services. This is a Simplified Acquisition and the anticipated award date is March 29, 2010.
