Description
THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO CONTRACTORS UNDER Multiple Task Order Contracts (MTOC), W91248-08-D-0004, Linc Government Services, 270-885-4675, W91248-08-D-0005, RCI, Inc, 859-263-2081, W91248-08-D-0006, TMC Contracting, 931-647-2233, and W91248-08-D-0007, Vanguard, 931-431-3771. The Directorate of Contracting intends to competitively award a firm-fixed price task order utilizing Recovery Act of 2009 funding under MTOC. Please note that only the contractors who have been awarded a Task Order Contract from Fort Campbell, Kentucky, Contracting Office are eligible to prepare and submit a proposal for this solicitation. The anticipated scope of work may include, but is not limited to all labor, supervision, materials and equipment necessary to accomplish the work which includes installing a completely functioning traffic signal and traffic signal system consisting of span wire type construction utilizing four (4) steel strain poles bolted to concrete piers with a minimum of 20 feet clearance above the road centerline and the top of the signal not more than 25.6 feet above the pavement. A minimum of two (2) signal faces are to be mounted no less than 8 feet apart. Signals are to be located between 40 and 180 feet from the intersection stop-bars. Signal heads are to be Econolite or approved equal. The traffic signal system shall utilize Machine Vision Video Cameras which are mounted from strain poles on 12 foot galvanized steel luminary arms. On-site training is to be provided. The traffic controller shall be Econolite Control Products Model Number ASC/3-2100, and the traffic signal system capable of NEMA 8-phase dual-ring operation. The Power Source Installation includes, 5-kva single-phase pole mount transformer, equipment mount complete with lightning arrestor and fused cutout, compression stirrup, hot line clamp, 3/4 inch x 10 ft copper clad ground rod with clamp, a length of #6 bare soft-drawn copper as required, clevis type spool insulators with wedge type dead end clamps, a length of #6 shepherd duplex service drop cables, compression type connectors as required and utility bolts, washers, and nuts. The secondary transformer jumpers shall be connected to provide full KVA capacity at 120 volts. The cabinet shall be aluminum pad mounted; mill finished per Federal Specification QQA-250/8; and APX Enclosures, Inc. NEMA 3R, Catalog Number ZTC554426 or approved equal. The signal systems shall be equipped with a Preemption System for the audible detection of emergency vehicles for the emergency vehicle priority system.
