- THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO CONTRACTORS UNDER. The Department of Veterans Affairs Ann Arbor Healthcare System, 2215 Fuller Road, Ann Arbor, Michigan 48105 anticipates soliciting bids and subsequently awarding a contract for the construction project known as "Site Security Lighting." The solicitation will be conducted in accordance with FAR Part 14 (Sealed Bidding) and Part 36 (Construction) and will be evaluated in accordance with the procedures therein. The solicitation will be advertised as a Total Set-Aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses. The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment and travel necessary to perform all work under this project which consists of: This project will include all labor and materials to complete the site lighting installation and testing for the VA Ann Arbor Medical Center. Contractor shall install 16, 25 foot tall, LED, light fixtures as specified on the drawings. These light poles will be installed in the north parking lot of our facility, as shown on drawings. These poles will be square poles, tapered, with a side mounted light attachment; an approved dark bronze color will be used for poles. All of these poles will be set in a sonotube, match existing sonotube's located around the VA Ann Arbor site. Contractor will run circuits from panel number LB-01, in room DB60B of the VA's Clinical Addition. From this panel, 480V wire will be ran into existing hand hole located on the drawings. All wire is to be inside a conduit that will have to be approved by the resident engineer. From this hand hole, power, wire will be ran to each new light pole to be installed, all of which will be daisy-chained together. Contractor is also to repair any damage to asphalt parking lot. Contractor shall also install two wall mounted LED lights, as specified, on the northeast face of building 1 east as shown on plans. This will be tied into existing panel and ran in approved conduit. Contractor shall also replace two existing 25 foot tall light poles, replace poles along with LED fixtures specified. These poles were damaged, and need to be re-installed from sonotube, to wiring, and lighting. These poles will be circular, match existing poles and mount for light fixture; these poles will also be tapered for additional support. Contractor must verify that all of the lights poles are working correctly after replacing two that are damaged, because they are daisy-chained together, more than two light poles are not currently operational. Contractor will also replace all 22 (one of which will be a back-to-back light fixture) existing light fixtures around the main entrance drive with LED fixtures specified, including the two poles that are damaged; the light fixture will be attached with custom bracket. The period of performance is 120 calendar days for the entire project. The cost range of this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. Site visit information will be provided upon issuance of the solicitation. Only one site visit will be conducted. Bids will be due 30 days after issuance of the solicitation. This notice is for informational purposes only and is not a request for submission of offers. The Government is not obligated to issue a solicitation as a result of this notice. No other information is available until issuance of the solicitation. No bidder list is maintained by the Contracting Office. All potential bidders should register on this website as interested vendors.
