- Description
- The U.S. Railroad Retirement Board (RRB) is a Federal agency that administers a disability annuity program for the nation's railroad workers. The RRB is seeking a contractor with a qualified group of physicians to review the medical records of RRB claimants applying for disability annuities and provide advisory medical opinions including a narrative review of the disability claimant's medical condition and a residual functional capacity assessment. These medical consulting services may be provided either off-site or on-site at the RRB headquarters, located at 844 N. Rush Street, Chicago, Illinois 60611. In addition, the contractor will be responsible for conducting on-site medical training and consultative sessions, performing a monthly review of a sample of completed disability decisions, and assisting in the development and interpretation of medical standards, regulations, procedure and forms. The contractor will be required to provide the full range of services outlined in the solicitation during a potential sixty (60) month period beginning October 1, 2010.
