Description
NFPA Sprinkler Inspection and Testing and Repair for Tobyhanna Army Depot, Pennsylvania General Notice: This is a sources sought notice only. This is not a Request for Proposal. There will not be a solicitation, specifications or drawings. Responses are due no later than 1900 Hours 29 March 2010. This is for informational/planning purposes only. The US Army Corps of Engineers, Baltimore District, requests letters of interest from potential prime contractors who qualify as small businesses (See Size Standards under Far 19.102) concerning the project below. Responses to this sources sought announcement will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. Responses are to be sent via Email to Peter.J.Kho@usace.army.mil by 1900 Hours 29 March 2010. Project Description: The contractor will provide recommended National Fire Protection Associations (NFPA) Sprinkler 50 Year testing and 5 Year sprinkler system flushing at established locations installation wide on Tobyhanna Army Depot. The contractor will also be required to maintain and/or repair or provide written specifications to address any problems or issues that need to be addressed for fire protection identified from the testing and flushing. The contractor may also be required to provide plans for future NFPA compliance and applicable building codes/regulations. Only interested Prime Contractors, who are fire protection specialist, should submit a narrative demonstrating their experience in sprinkler system testing, maintenance, repairs and recommended compliance with recommendations from NFPA and applicable building codes/regulations. Project is not to be subcontracted. Please include the following information in your response: details of similar projects, project dates, project references (including contact information), qualifications and project cost. Narrative shall be no longer than ten (10) pages. Email responses are required. Information will be shared with the Government and the project design team but otherwise will be held in strict confidence. Information may be in any format, but must include submitters name, phone number and email address. This notice is not a Request for Proposal, it is a market research tool being utilized to determine the availability of potential qualified contractors before determining the method of acquisition. Please identify your SBA Size Status, such as 8(a), Hubzone, Woman-Owned, Service Disabled Veteran Owned, Minority Owned, etc., if applicable. Please note that it is required that your company be registered in the Contractors Central Registration System (CCR). Please see www.ccr.gov for additional information.
