Description

The U.S. Department of the Interior, U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), Yellowstone Volcano Observatory (YVO) has a requirement to upgrade the telemetry and infrastructure to continuous GPS receivers that allow the collection of 1 Hz data within Yellowstone National Park. The upgrade must be sufficient to permit the real-time transmission of 1 Hz data from all of the stations simultaneously. The sites include the following locations inside the Park: a. P720, Slough Creek b. NRWY, Norris c. OFW2, Old Faithful d. LKWY, Lake Junction e. P709, Promontory f. P716, Canyon g. WLWY, White Lake The Government anticipates award of a commercial, firm-fixed price (FFP) type contract. The required performance period is anticipated to be from contract award through 30 Sep 2011. The solicitation and any documents/files related to this procurement may be available on the internet on or about 18 March 2010. A formal solicitation is NOT available for release at this time. This requirement is unrestricted. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 517919 and the size standard is $25M. There is no incumbent contractor. Full funding for requirements to be completed by resultant contract award may utilize funds provided by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). Inclusion of unique provisions implementing the Act, including those for significant reporting and transparency requirements by the successful offeror(s), will be required in any resultant contract.
